Govt. of India have recently issued a draft notification under which they have given guidelines for evaluation of Ayurveda, Siddha & Unani drugs and other Traditional Medicine in India.
Besides this, they have also given the guidelines for pre-clinical safety evaluation for Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani drugs and other traditional medicine in India, in the same notification.
This is an indication of more stringent regulations in the times to come.
We should welcome this approach, which would lead to improved product quality for the practitioners & consumers.
