ORCHITIS

a patient came with following hiostory "i have a rare medical condition concerning my testes. when i was 12 years old, i suffered an accident fell from roof of a house. my head was injured and i was taken to hospital and was in coma for two weeks. however i recovered completely but soon after that my testicles started increasing in size. for about one year i did not tell anyone but finally told my father. the doctors then told me that the accident had affected some glands whcih was causing this problem. the medicines they gave did not help, howver i did not have any pain etc, just developed very large testicles and after some time they stopped increasing. my penile organ also increased in size more than normal. but since that time i suffered because of too much production of semen fluid and it used to cause me lot of pain in my testicles when they were swollen. i had to masturbate very frequently. after marriage the problem was controlled to some extent, but about 20 years ago i was divorced. however in my 50's the problem subsided and i was healthy. but since last few years again the same problem has occured and at my age of 61 i have to suffer from excess semen production.....

No capsule is possible to survive without preservative and in india no capsule is available having capacity of more than 1200mgs. Any capsule of single herb using extract of any form should not be treated as classical medicine, but manufactures are doing this?????....

Now a days so many Ayurvedic manufactures introduces sugar free chavanprash or in granuled form. chavanprash is time tested rasayan and have potent anti oxidant properties. As per drug and cosmetics act, classical ayurvedic medicine can be manufactured with out printing ingredient on the label. one just have to mention the reference book and the Adhikar for that particular medicine.the manufactures are not allowed to add any thing as far as name of the medicine is concern. in this particular case of chavanprash government of india made two important amendments 1. Gov. allowed the manufactures to prefix their name as Zandu chavanprash or dabur chavanpras and the product will remain the classical or shastrokt. the most recent amendment is manufactures are allowed to alter the formula to make this bitter or pungent preparation more palatable and the product will remain under classical category only thing is that they have to mention the entire formula on the label..Now the question is whether it is in favor of ayurveda or in favor of manufactures? If any amendment helps ayurveda in any way it must be welcomed otherwise should be criticized.....

AGAIN AND AGAIN.....

hi everybody.

as days are going on i am getting frusteted after reading cases and case-replies on board.
again more numbers of respected doctors are eagered to get readymade formulations. let's thing it is o.k.
but major problem is ayurved-tadnya are giving suggestion in replies are aginst "ayurved's basic priciples" 
e.g. in constipation case-
majority said that drink more or 7-8 litres of water. is it stated in our granthas? i don't think so....
majority said eat fibres. is it ayurvedic advice? i don't think so. because ayurved says that "shaak varga should be avoided.
