STRENGTHENING MEDICINES IN DIABETES

dear panel, i want to introduce some medicines to a iddm patient,65yrs of age. he is otherwise on completely allopathic medicines.in this regard i also want to clarify my own views-i have seen in many case that diabetic patients who restrain from taking the standard allopathic medications for all systems namely heart , kidney, pancreas, liver end up into one or other system failiure. so can we also while giving ayurvedic medicines approach the patient with same view of supporting all systems.we can reduce the insulin dosage thro ayurvedic medicines, but is it cost effective, and what are the positive and negative results seen by you on such practice.this patient is taking 40units of human mixtard insulin per day. very thin but kapha prakriti.ironically he has constipation from childhood. diabetes is hereditary. what would be your approach to such a case......
