Dear friends...
Now directly coming to the point of discussion …the heading of my discussion is somewhat a new term or phenomena emerging these days...
The word fanaticism means fanatic behavior especially as exhibited by excessive enthusiasm, unreasoning zeal, or wild and extravagant notions on some subject… (In this context it is medical related fanaticism)…I think most of you still couldn’t get the point….let me explain with some examples…
Case No.1.A famous doctor (allopathic, general physician) in Banaras, known for giving good treatment to patients…I personally know him very well…
I used to go there to his OPD in the evening and often I found most number of patients satisfied with his treatment…when I checked the OPD slips of some patients…I was astonished to see the same prescription for almost all respiratory disorders…
Now you can ask me, what was in that prescription? It’s nothing but full of ANTI TUBERCULAR DRUGS (Rifa, INH,pyrazinamide and ethambutol )…..on a whole sale basis(I must say on trial and error basis)…....
