A lady aged 60 medium built non diabetic having hypertension well under control came to me having severe back ache and after being admitted to reputed orthopedic surgeon with no relief. MRI repoted disc prolapse,nerve compression, tear, Kati vasti was offered with vish garbh tail and no internal medicine was administered initially. Patient got 90% relief. Later ashwagandha churan and triodashang guggul, R. compound BD was added.
After this cure she developed faith in ayurveda and reported her problem of osteo arthritis which is there for last 10 years or so. I continued with same internal medicine and opted for pichu with vishgarbh followed by swedan with babuna , gul tesu, punarnava, chrilla,manjith, dashmool. The crackling sounds have reduced after about 15 sittings but pain has marginally improved.
