This is an individual understanding and i may be wrong. However, since the question has come to my mind i will like to put my point across.
With respect to Dhatus -
Ras, Rakta, Maas, Med, Asthi, Majja and shukra the modern correlation or equivalents will be -
lymph or serum, blood, muscle, adipose layer of fat or sebaceous layer, majja is thereby bone marrow and, asthi is bone and cartilage and shukra is the semen or ovum as may be the case (i would not like to place ovum separately or devoid). ......
