JO DARR GAYA.....SAMJHO.....WOH.....

Dear friends,
I just wanted to share one of my experiences regarding a medical emergency where I had no option left but just to face the music of uncertainty. Sometimes we have to make some vital decisions then and there itself without any second thoughts...But if you think in an orthodox way, the repercussions of your decision might be disastrous.
As a shalya chikitsak its my duty to inspire my juniors and make them aware of the importance of aasukari and atyayika chikitsa(swift action and emergency treatment).I came to Delhi in 1999 straight from the university and I was very young and energetic those days(I am more energetic now but not any more younger...(pseudo)maturity of the mind stops me doing many things which I Used to do 10-12 yrs back without any hesitation.
One fine Friday, after performing night duty I went to my Room.(Lodhi colony) at around 9.00 Am, I got a call from Hospital...and had been told that there was a patient of fistula (with severe pain?)waiting for me. I again went to the Hospital, where I found a middle aged man (he was an IAS officer ...basically from Andhra Pradesh... Bihar cadre) sitting very cautiously on the bench outside the OPD on the ground floor... (IAS Officer...On the old wooden OPD bench...unbelievable) He was accompanied by his wife, along with an MD Doctor (general Medicine) from RML and his 5-6 office staff including his driver.
The RML doctor said ”Sir, the patient is suffering from Fistula-in-ano and we actually we came to consult Dr S k Sharmaji (Adviser Ayurveda, Dept Of AYUSH) as he was busy at the Ministry, so he suggested to consult you”
I said” have you examined the patient?” “No” He said.......
