3. Based on the regions of the body (anga avayavaani)

तेषां एकादशैक अस्मिन् सक्थ्नि भवन्ति ,
एतेन इतर सक्थि बाहू च व्याख्यातौ ।
उदर उरसो: द्वादश, चहतुर्दश पृष्टे ,
ग्रीवां प्रति ऊर्ध्वं सप्त त्रिंशत् ॥ सु.शा ६/५ 
Amongst the 107 marmas (tesham),11 marmas each are present in the one of the lower limb.
Likewise 11 each are present in the contra lateral lower limb and the 2 upper extremities.
(11+11=22 in both L/L ; another 11+11=22 in both U/L,totaling 22+22=44 in all the 4 limbs together)........
