Dear friends,
I just wanted to tell all of you the importance of right counseling in our day to day practice. I am not posting any questions, but just my experiences to you all because there are very good doctors on this panel who are regularly posting interesting and useful questions. So I keep myself to entertain or most of the time, bore you all.
This incident (I rather call it one of its kinds, may be first time in India) was happened in our village (Andhra Pradesh) 35 years back. There was this man in our village was a chronic boozer, chain smoker unemployed and by default had a habit of womanizing. After sometime he got infected with STD (Syphilis). His wife took him to the nearest General Hospital (skin and STD OPD) for checkup. The doctor (Dr.Gupta) advised the patient to go for VDRL test and sent him home. After 1 week, only his wife went to the Hospital to collect the medicines and report. She showed the report to the doctor. The test was positive. The wife asked the doctor about the report. The doctor simply said “aap ka pati toh bhagwaan hai, bhagwaan krishn ka roop hai” “yeh dawaai khilaao aur uski sewa karo”in a jocular way......
