So many patients come to us to get the treatment for jaundice as they think we got the better treatment. But the tricky part of it, much more number of patients go to unqualified people (not doctors) to get jaado treatment in rural as well as urban India. there are so many strong beliefs about the disease in india.i personally wanted to tell all my friends jaundice is self limiting disease most of the time.it is our due to encourage the patient to go for detailed investigations first like atleast USG, LFT, URINE routine and microscopic etc.to rule out other causes like obstructive,haemolytic jaundice or jaundice due to some lesser known diseases. Second ppart is we tend to give arogyavardhini vati and some other medicines which contain metals etc.though they are safe it is our prime concern to lower the burden on liver rather making it more vulnerable to the disease itself. My request stick kastoushadhis.if simple plant based medicines like bhumyamlaki can do our job then why should we go for something else?....
