Dear all respected Ayurvedist,
Accept my warm regards, I would like to share a bizarre clinical experience which made me think beyond !
Yesterday, myself an Internee BAMS posted in Allopathic Hosp for Emergency training (as per new norms of CCIM) was having my tenth night duty at a busy Kolkata hospital, when a little girl with her grand-father walked in, it was about 10.30 pm. We looked up, the man showed the little fingers and said ant-bit her. We could clearly see 2-3 tiny normal papules, and in our mind tried hard to weigh the emergency of this situation. The little voice came to relief saying “I am ok, I have no pain, even dida(grand-ma) took me to hospital in morning I had the ‘medicines’ and dadu coming home brought me here forcibly for check-up”. Before we could say anything, the Sister howled “Dadu, at your early days when a garden ant- bite you, what would you do….apply lime(choona) or mud isn’t..”. The old-man cut short saying “oi jug ta alada chilo (that was a different world then now)”. After little counseling we sent them home, and one of us bursted with lots of laughter – “Simple Ant-bite in morning, noon ‘tx’ and night emergency !! Like it !!”......
