There is a lot of talk of testing of ayurvedic drugs nowa days.
As on date we even do not have standards for single drugs.
If u compare HPLC graphs of say ashwagnadha grown in North, south, east west etc there graphs are different and its not possible to develop standards and research is still on. This is inconsonance with ayurvedic text also which says that quality of drug changes with desh kal etc.
Now in the present secenario wherein we have multiple ingredients in classical drugs how can we develop parameters for testing.
We can also depend on tradtional organoleptic tests decribed in Ayurveda.
In the above scenario what should Govt do to ensure quality standards of ayurvedic drugs.....
